converse just debuted their latest sneaker collaboration with canada's own the hudson's bay company. the two have come together style purcells in iconic HBC stripes. there are three styles available, the unisex jack purcell, the duck boot and women’s helen silhouette. both are outfitted with antique brass eyelet's, hudbson's bay logos on the footbed and the duck boot even features a leather collar (which will look even nicer as it gets broken in).
though i am more of a chuck taylor fan i do love that the navy smile on the front of the toe coordinates nicely with the yellow, red, green and navy stripes of hbc. and you know what would really be cool? if a winterized version was later created and made from the same wool used in the blankets and lined (with fur or more wool or something). it would be perfect! it does get pretty cold up here in the winter, after all.
the collection will be available for (a suggested retail price of) $120 to $140 beginning september 1st exclusively at the bay stores. visit thebay.com to find a location nearest you.
