the spring summer 2013 collection would be my third ecco preview that i have attended. in all three previews i have always seen styles that i like for myself but never got around to purchasing a pair, at least until last month. the shoes i included in my
Christmas wish list? i bought them. the patent ones too. i have yet to wear them out though due to all this cold white stuff on the ground.
spring summer is no different in regards to items i want to add to my own collection, like the cuno mocassins (i think it's time i overcame my fear of wearing white anything). this collection presents a range of shoe and bag styles in easy to wear colours like faded pastels, earth tones and a few brights. keeping with their design and technology philosophy that “the shoe must follow the foot” ecco offers shoes that are lightweight, comfortable and heels that are not to high (no heel is over 90cm). they are the only major shoe brand to own and manage every step of the shoemaking process, they own their own leather factory and they even sell their leather to other well known labels and companies such as alexander wang, louis vuitton, coach and bmw.
though i was provided with the lookbook i've decided to share the pictures i took that day; the preview was so well presented and the merchandise was so well grouped and propped that i had to ask who did the merchandising and display. erin monaghan, part of the ecco team, did a very good job.
